Roger New York Blog

A New York State of Mind

The best way to experience NYC is by foot and the bright sunny days make taking a stroll a breeze. Enjoy the last days of summer by embarking on a walking tour of the city. Be your own guide by charting your course through Manhattan or downloading a printable walking tour online. Include stops at the iconic Flat Iron Building, Madison Square Park, Eataly, and Union Square to name a few. Opt for early morning or late afternoon to avoid peak summer temperatures and pack an umbrella just in case. Manhattan may be only 13.4 miles long and 2.3 miles wide, but it’s filled to the brim with world-class sightseeing and attention-grabbing attractions. Catch the sunrise over the East River or the sunset on the Hudson River. When exploring the concrete jungle, it’s hard to remember that Manhattan is an island. After getting lost in one of the most vibrant cities in the world, return to the Roger for cocktails in our lobby bar.
