Play (Bocce) Ball

We feel a competitive streak coming on. On August 12, head to Eataly, the vast Italian food hall on Fifth Avenue, for the Bocce Fest, an all-day celebration highlighted by great food and game. For newbies, bocce traces its roots to Ancient Rome and, to this day, remains the third most played sport in the world. In Italy, it captures the very essence of summer so why not channel your inner-Italian and gather a few friends in La Piazza for beer, cocktails and a game on the pop-up bocce courts. Participation is free but donations (to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation) are welcome. Afterwards, stroll back to The Roger for a game-changing cocktail in The Parlour.
