Feel the Magic at the 92nd Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

What would Thanksgiving be without the annual Macy’s parade in New York City? For 92 years the event has brought holiday cheer to the world. It’s hard to imagine that it started in 1924 as a street parade consisting of employees in vibrant costumes and borrowed animals from the Central Park Zoo marching in front of Macy's flagship store on 34th street. Now over 50 million people watch around the world and 3.2 million revelers lineup along the route in Manhattan. It’s truly a sight to be seen.

This year keep your eyes open for the newest addition, Little Cloud by artist collective FriendsWithYou. The 30-foot-wide balloon is a happy little cloud, which has been a motif in their work since 2002. The float is part of the Blue Sky Gallery series, which has featured artists such as KAWS, Jeff Koons, Takashi Murakami, and more. Make The Roger New York your home base during the holidays this year--our convenient location is in the heart of the festivities and just steps away from the world-famous Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade route.
