Shakespeare in the Park

It’s not officially springtime until Shakespeare in the Park opens at the stunning Delacorte Theater in the heart of Central Park. A fan favorite, the open-air theater houses up to 1800 fortunate viewers, and each performance is usually filled to capacity. The season kicks off with Much Ado About Nothing on May 21st and runs until June 23rd. Directed by Tony Award-winner Kenny Leon, guests will experience a fresh take on this cherished comedy. On July 16th, tragedy replaces comedy as Coriolanus takes center stage and closes out the season on August 11th. Directed by Tony Award-winner Daniel Sullivan, it’s the first time since 1979 that it’s been performed at Shakespeare in the Park. Tickets are always complimentary and available for pickup the day of the play.
